The name derives from the term myrtle or mortar and finds the first historical traces in Bologna in the sixteenth century. with Cardinal Farnese. The mortadella Medaglia d’Oro Levoni is characterised by the very selected meat and the green pistachio of Bronte DOP. Also available in the version without pistachios.

Pairing and Wines
We recommend it as an aperitif, diced or in a skewer with kiwi, strawberries and grapes. Perfect as a starter with rose-shaped rolls with ricotta and garden rocket. It completes grilled mixed meat skewers. Other original ideas are mortadella and asparagus lasagna, mortadella mousse and egg pasta stuffed with mortadella. It is the most versatile deli meat!
