A Night of Legend and Centenary Celebration Special Levoni Menu Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Tower, 14 Ottobre 2011
The night was both a tribute to and a celebration of one hundred years of history of Levoni - importer of Italian Salumi, while the nine-course menu was the creation of Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers’ Executive Sous Chef, Gaetano Palumbo, a dynamic and inspirational creator of Authentic Italian Cuisine. Only a handful of exclusive guests were invited from professionals in the food and beverage industries in Thailand and leading hotels in Bangkok. Honorable guests included H.E. Michelangelo Pipan, Italian Ambassador to Thailand; Mr. Nicola Levoni, Chairman and Export Director of Levoni, and leading professionals from 5-star hotels around Bangkok; executive chefs from leading hotels and Italian restaurants around Bangkok; and media.
The night was also a golden opportunity for chef Palumbo to display his ingenuity in preparing so many creative dishes from one source. The private dining featured premium cold cut from Levoni carefully selected and crafted in his finest creations. Highlights of the menu includes Canapés Levoni, Zuppizza con carciofi e finocchiona (Pizza soup with finocchiona and artichoke), Conchiglia ripiena di funghi e grana in salsa al prezzemolo (Conchiglia filled with grana cheese and wild mushroom in parsley coulis), Tortelli “Carbonara “salsa al basilico e mace (Carbonara tortelli with crispy pancetta and mace), Ravioli di lenticchie e cotechino in salsa di patate (Cotechino and lentil ravioli with potato sauce).
