Managing the space: The layout of goods
The course is aimed at giving useful knowledge to manage the space inside the point of sale, such as presenting the products in the best way to encourage impulse buying by the consumer.
‘Layout of goods’ means the systematic process of displaying the products at the point of sale in an effective way, using a series of techniques to make them visible, available and attractive to consumers, in order to increase sales, adapt the assortment to market demand and manage consumer purchasing behaviour.
The aim is to communicate the techniques for the positioning of the product at the point of sale, plus techniques to display and publicise it in order to influence demand for it.
