Gothenburg’s foodie scene is buzzing more than ever before – the city was named the ‘Culinary Capital of Sweden 2012’ by the Sweden’s Minister for Agriculture, Eskil Erlandsson in recognition of its wealth and quality of natural produce.
This year also sees the 5th anniversary of the Passion for Food Festival, where food enthusiasts can find an exciting range of hand-picked producers, as well as ingredients from quality suppliers of food and drinks.
Pick up tips and ideas about cooking at the festival’s Cookery School you’ll meet a number of well-known chefs who will offer advice on ingredients and cooking.
At the exhibition you will find a selection of drinks, often presented as a complement to the food – wine, beer and champagne, but also new, exciting alcohol-free alternatives. Drink coupons for wine and beer tasting can be bought at the event.
And don’t miss the Taste Workshops, where you can hear interesting talks on subjects such as wine, beer, champagne, chocolate, liquorice, potatoes, chicken, knives, and much more.
