Red Wines

A selection of red wines that create an ideal match with Levoni Salumi. A correct match between red wines and charcuterie to create a great marriage to satisfy the palate.

Alto Adige Doc Santa Maddalena Classico
The pleasantness and freshness of its fruitiness, the harmony in its taste and its slight spiciness mediated by sophisticated tannins just hinted at, makes this an extremely pleasant partner.
Barbaresco Docg
Elective Affinity in this noble wine from Langa that features a fine complex perfume of violet and woodland strawberries. To be enjoyed after a good maturation in the bottle, when its flavour will be full, velvety and harmonious.
Barbera d’Asti Docg
To be enjoyed when still very young and above all when not matured in wood: a wine that is fresh, fruity, and immediate. To the nose it is exuberant and a complex of red fruits with persistent peppery notes.
Bardolino Doc
To be drunk young, this is a delicately fruity and fragrant wine, with notes of cherry, blackcurrant and spices; the taste is dry, soft, balanced, endowed with freshness and considerable drinkability.
Bonarda dell’Oltrepò Pavese Doc
Intense foam, fine perfumed nose, full-bodied and spirited drinkability with just the right amount of acidity and tannins.
Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo Doc
As well as traditional sparkling Lambrusco Salamino, we can also try it with Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, a rosé not rosato which enters the mouth with vigour, freshness and tastiness.
Cesanese del Piglio Docg
With its intense bouquet characterised by notes of pepper and berries, this wine boasts fine structure, instant fruitiness and sufficient fleshiness to contain the tannic presence.
Chianti Classico Docg
The wine’s great tonicity harmonises well with younger versions not matured in oak thanks to the fleshiness and well-designed tannin.
Cirò Doc Classico
When young, this is a wine that is champing at the bit characterised by sweet fruitiness, tastiness and mineral qualities that stir the palate with a sip that is long, fresh and intense.
Colli Orientali del Friuli Doc Schioppettino
To be used as an accompaniment when still young, when it exhibits a character that is decisive, fresh, acid, dry and well structured with hints of blackberry and black pepper.
Colli Orientali del Friuli Doc Tazzelenghe
Tazzelenghe in Friuli dialect is tàce-lenghe i.e. a ‘tongue-cutter’ because of its tannin. We use it after light maturation and end up tasting a wine that expresses texture and notable grease-cutting qualities while leaving a taste in the mouth that is pleasant and abounding in acidity, persistent and personal.
Colli Trevigiani Igt Wildbacher
From the ancient grapes of the Austro- Hungarian Empire comes a wine in perfect sync thanks to its herbaceous, fruity perfume which recalls woodland fruits, and its wild spicy notes.
Dolcetto d’Alba Doc
Drunk young, this wine has a persuasive full taste with slight tannic hints, great freshness, and cleanliness in its reminder of small red fruits and cherry.
Falerno del Massico Doc Rosso
The fresh enchanting sensation of the younger versions of this wine, the mineral nuances, the spicy notes, the frequently minty finale, the intense and full-bodied taste are just right as accompaniment with the Hot Salsiccia Napoli.
Freisa d’Asti Doc
The fruity fragrance of this wine accompanies this drink from start to finish; dry in the glass and inviting, especially in the sparkling version.
Friuli Grave Doc Refosco dal peduncolo rosso
Matured in steel and drunk young, this is above all harmonious with its notes of pink pepper, a fresh dry taste and mild tannin.
Grignolino d’Asti Doc
Grignolino is a red wine with very particular characteristics that make it stand out and ennoble it as one of the most interesting alternative drinks. Its perfume is intense and fruity with floral and brushwood hints. The flavour is fresh, spicy, dry, slightly tannic and inviting.
Gutturnio Doc
Barbera and Croatina make this noble interpretation a wine that ensures a flawless accompaniment above all if drunk young, when it guarantees decisive fruitiness and vinous qualities with an end note that is slightly savoury and tannic. Best appreciated in the sparkling variety.
Lacrima di Morro d’Alba doc
To be drunk young, when it unleashes a delicate and characteristic perfume that is vinous, fruity/floral of strawberry, cherry, blueberry and violet. Piqued and intriguing in its taste, with a fairly full-bodied structure, a dry taste and tannin that is never too pungent.
Lambrusco di Sorbara Doc
This wine, decidedly grease-cutting, exalts the Po valley tradition, adding vivacity with its sparklingly joyful blend of fresh, vinous flavours and notes of blackcurrant and violet.
